SSH Tunneling Explained

Recently I wanted to set up a remote desktop sharing session from home pc to my laptop. While going through the set up guide I came across ssh tunneling. Even though there are many articles on the subject still it took me a considerable amount of googling, some experimenting and couple of Wireshark sessions to grasp what’s going under the hood.
