Website Blog

On november 16, 2004, I created the first blog to post some news and comments among my classmates and me. Now, I want to share some small view points with all the people around the world.

How to enable the administrator account in Windows

The Goal

Only the first and hidden Administrator Account in Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 8.1) brings a full access, but by default this Administrator Account is not activated.

In order to activate the Windows (Vista, 7, 8, 8.1) administrator account, just localize the cmd.exe and then execute it in the administrative mode.

Note:

Over the executable file, right click on it and run it as Administrator.

Windows 8, 8.1 - Run cmd as administrator

Enable Administrator Account

This process is pretty simple, you just should run:

net user Administrator /active:yes

Then you should confirm it by pressing enter.

CMD - Enable Administrator User Account

Finally you will get the Administrator Account enabled in the Windows Lock Screen:

Windows 8, 8.1 - Lockscreen Administrator Account Enabled

If you want to disable Administrator Account!

Like the step where you learned to enable the Administrator Account, this one is pretty simple too. You just should run:

net user Administrator /active:no

Then you should confirm it by pressing enter.

CMD - Disable Administrator User Account
